Dear Mentors, I belongs to Andhra Pradesh, khamma community as per my fathers caste and my official certificates. My mother belongs to Brahmin community and I love their values and morals. I'm planning to marry a Andhra pradesh Brahmin girl. My questions follows here 1) my child should get Brahmin caste, is there any possibility for this? 2) in case the above question is big yes, are there any areas where we should concentrate for not letting my child in trouble. Your response can put me in peace and highly appreciated. Have a good day. Thanks, Avinash
Dear Avinash,As per the Act the children will get the caste of father except S.CsS.Ts.The children can choose their own caste after attaining the majority. If mother is S.C ,they can choose their mother's caste.Until u don't claim any reservation benefits nobody bothers.Regarding recognizing u and ur children as brahmins ,there is no suchh Act,or rule.
