Can complaint be filed for threatening of "taking action"

Dear members,

i would indeed appreciate your kind guidance on this scenario, my inlaws are threatening me of  '"taking action" against me as they allege that i am harrassing their daughter. though such harrassment has never taken place, time and again i am repeatedly saying that their daugther is lying to them  on the phone, and if you dont belive me, and only belive your daughter then why are you asking me. One such threat of " takiing action" has been given to me by one of their relatives, who is a central govt servant. due to this threat of "taking action" and "legal action" i am spending sleepless nights along with my parents for no fault of mine,

I want to know can i fill a case, or a police complaint against such undue harrassment to me. in fact, if such harrassment was indeed there, my wife would herself had gone to the police to complain, but no such action ever took place

I want to know if this person who threatens is a central govt servant, and if a case or a complaint from my side is possible, then is there a threat to this persons job. as he is a govt servant, and because of his threats i am spending sleepless nights. can my complaint or a case against this person affect his job in the Govt, as i want to teach him a lesson, as he is threatening me night  and day for no fault of mine. i have recorded a call on mobile in one instance where he is threatening me of "taking action" and how he avoided this "action" in the past just to spare me of the problems i would face because of this.

i would indeed appreciate your kind comments in this regard.

Though you can file a complaint, this would be a non-cognizable offence and nothing much would come out of it/

It would be better, if you try to resolve the matter by involving elders and respectables.

@shonee sir: sir, with reference to your comment, i wanted to futher ask, even if a NC can be registered, and also accepting the fact that nothing much would come out of it, i wanted to know that, since the person i have mentioned in my thread happens to be a govt servant, can my complaint, or the filing of a NC offence affect his job as a govt servant, as this is a very weak spot i have found with my inlaws, only this can bring them to their knees if my complaint or even a plain NC registration can affect the job of this person. i am very eager to know about this, can this person be suspended or promotions withheld because of an NC registered against him?

pls reply..........thanks

NC complaint does not effect the job.
