Can government overrule right to religion?

I am a HINDU by birth and follow my religion as much as possible. Me and my family trust Ayurveda and naturopathy and we

are not comfortable with the concept of vaccines because of their animal and human fetus parts as ingredients.

Now we all know that we are dealing with a Pandamic these days. So my question is:

Q: Can State or center government force or mandate a vaccine (experimental product for covid19) which is clearly against my religious beliefs?

Hello,

As per my knowledge, there is no compulsion to get the vaccination. Moreover, there is a limitation on the availability of vaccines so it is up to you to take the vaccine. But there are guidelines for use of masks and social distancing which you have to follow.

Hi,

Indian govt have not cleared their stance over making vaccination mandatory yet. Brazil's president recently announced that vaccination won't be made mandatory in the country. A similar move was announced by epidemiologist and US Infectious Disease Expert, Dr Anthony Fauci. A recent survey also pointed out evidence that 35 per cent of Americans wouldn’t get a COVID-19 vaccine even if it were free. And if we follow the stance of Indian Government and ICMR, in one of their recent interviews, they've already said that 'not everyone will receive vaccine." Unclear, but anything can be speculated through these statements.

Moreover, not making it mandatory for everyone will not rule out the chances that there are certain jobs/places where it can be made compulsory. For example, health worker in hospital, school children, etc. Even previous doses of vaccine which were used to diagnose hepatitis B, polio, etc., were essential for public good, but not mandatory.
