I have personally not come across one case, where the TEP has backfired, yes there has been few TEPs where there was no action

OK. But I heard it will definitely stop the doors of compromise. Pl let me know is it so.

If 498a could not put a stop to compromise how would TEP do so?

Anyways, you are too scared to take step, so better let it be.

Think over it then. There is a thin line between indecisiveness and being careful.

I apologize if I misconstrued your carefulness with indecisiveness because of the medium of interaction.

thank you sir. i am just reiterating my case.

1. father in law not working at all

2. mother is a housewife

3. wife working as a contractor

4. they say they are a poor family and infact i wanted to marry a girl from a family who is not financialy sound so that i could help.

5. we got married

6. after 6 months, they marrief off 2nd daughter. during marriage, i came to know how rowdy sheeters they are and made my life hell. it's just 6 months period.

in dvc and 498a, i came to know they sold their house (maternal grandma's) for the marriage as per the sale deed submitted by them. the house costs 3 lacs and they are saying dowry as 6 lakhs given to us.

my queries:

1. does selling the house @ 3 lacs amount to income? do they have to pay tax for it?

2. the remaining 3 lacs is paid as cash, but no transaction mentioned in the cases. nor they mentioned proofs of any gold bills and silver bills.

3. they will defintely say they sold another house for their second daugther. who knows? they will do anything to make up tehir face in front of tax officials.

4. they can even say that they got money from their brothers, sisters, relatives who donated cash to them to get their daughters married. this is a nice trick to escape from TEP during investigtion.

5. this is why i want to know how fruitful if TEP is filed by me.

i hope this will be the last question. after that i will decide for filing or not :)
