My wife is planning to take admission in psot graduate (M.D) course in ayurveda from Jamangar university, While filling the form, there's open to choose the category i.e SEBC/Open/SC etc. Recently one of the professor said that if you fill form in SEBC category then later you cant take admissin in sits which are under open quota even if you have mertit. Now the issue is - SEBC category has very limited sits (Just 3) but open has more sits, so there are chances that SEBC may get full, in this case even if we have enough merit and there are sits available in open, we cant take admission in.
This doesn't look true to me, as far as I knew, SEBC student can take admission in open as well even if he has choosen to fill the forum under SEBC.
Can some lawyer please clarify what's the rule regarding the reservation quota
