Can we adopt adult person ?

 to legally adopt an adult of 23 years in not possible legally in India, only a person who has not attained the age of majority, namely, who is less than 18 years can only be adopted by another adult who has attained the age of majority, namely is more than 18 years. 
Adoption in India is of a child of less than 18 years is to take care his person and property point of view as such person is unable to do so himself, but an adult who has attained age of majority, namely, 18 years is supposed to take care of himself and his property himself without any outside help. 

Child should be less than 15
