yes.....you can cancel the vakalathunama because you have given an authority to his to pursue the case, when he is not diligent in prosecuting the matter and declined to furnish the details of the case, you can cencel the vakalathnama....you present before the court and request the judge to remove him as an advocate and permit to engage another advocate to prosecute the matter.the judge will give an oppertunity to engage another advocate...the advocate/lawyer/attorney has no right or authority to retain the vakalath agast the desire and will of his clinet
