Capacity of employees in transport vehicles

What is the minimum/maximum capacity of employees to be taken in a Sumo Vehicle in a call centre as per the legal law because I have seen in most of the companies they take 7 employees in a sumo vehicle. Even if an employee is not able to sit then he is forced to sit in it as he/she wont get any other vehicle drop/pickup.

So is there any solution to it or any legal law for this?

Check the RC Book of the vehicle. The number of passengers a vehicle can carry as per Motor Vehicle Act is mentioned in the RC Registration.

The sitting capacity has been mentioned in the registration book of the each vehicle. Specially commercial vehicles. Tata sumo has capacity of 6 or 7 seat vehicles. You can complaint to any transport authority near you. They will cancel his permit to use this vehicle for commercial purpose.

yes every vehicle has some limited capacity, which r mentioned in the registration card of the book, these details are also mentioned in the insurance policy of the vehicle.only the no of person insured in the insurance policy,or the no of person can sit for which permit was given by the RTO office. Aur agar shudh hindi mai kahe to " jitne logo ko baithane ka permit hai, usse jyada logo ko nahi baitha sakte hai"

The seating capacity in the RC Book includes Driver.

Overcapacity may sometimes lead to serious problems, which you should know and tell your fellow passengers also. If the vehicle is overloaded meaning it is carrying more passengers including driver than what it is permiited to as per Motor Vehicles Act, and it meets an accident, then Insurance company may refuse to entertain the compensation because the vehicle was overloaded. So please also go through the Insurance Policy also of the vehicle and ensure that :-

1. It is valid i.e. it has not expired.

2. Whether any number of passengers which the vehicle can carry is mentioned in the Policy. If it is not, then RC Book is the default number.
