Caste change

Dear sir. Thanks for your query. I believe you cannot change your caste as it is ruled by your birth. You can change your religion, not caste. Although the constitution grants all the freedom by virtue choices one makes, the choice of caste is not yet made independent of one's own discretion. If your parents belong to different castes then, in special circumstances, you have an option to choose b/w either one of their castes. Regards
