Cctv camera

Sir,

We have 17 flats in our apartment.  One of the Flat owners has installed CCTV Cameras of his own, without taking permission, one at Cellar (Common area) and one at his door.  Through these cameras, he can watch movements of flat owners.  Other flat owners raising voice stating damage of their privacy as the flat owner who installed CCTV Cams watching others movements. When asked, he (CCTV installer) states that he wanted the safety of his vehicle as well as to watch who is coming to his flat. Since the CCTV owner watches others movements from his house hindering 0thers privacy, can we lodge a complaint with the Police to remove CCTC Cams in Common areas?

I think it violates privacy and can be used to stalk women, children etc. Highly unacceptable. Take a stick or stone and destroy the cameras at night.
