Change the title of the property....?

Dear Sir,

I and my father jointly own a flat in mumbai. Now i want to transfer the property to my father's name due to ongoing dispute between me and my wife in the court. I approached the local lawyer and he told me that even to remove my name from the ownership of the flat will cost me about 80 thousands. As per him the valuation of the flat which he had checked at the registrar's office is 23.5 lakhs. Kindly advise how can i reduce the cost involved and what would be breakdown of the cost. Thanks.

Registered a Release Deed document in registrar office in your father favour.

By executing a registered relinguishment deed or by registering a release deed document in registrar office, will i be exempted from the stamp duty and registration charges. If so, how do i go about doing these documents.
