Cheated by brother

Hi,

I am a married woman of 45 yrs old. There were 2 ancesteral properties in Pune of my father. Property A and Property B. My father passed away in 1987. My 2 brothers planned to sell Property in 1995. I agreed to remove my name from that property. Trusting my brothersI signed the papers in 1995. Property A was sold in same year. Now I find that my name is not in Property B because my brothers cheated me during the signing the papers of property A and took my signature to remove my name from Property B also. There was no money given to me for both the properties and nothing same is mentioned in the property B also. My mothers name is still in Property B. My mother is also not happy about the cheating.

What options do I have now ? How can I legally get my share in Property B ?

Please advise. Thanks a lot.

Dear Sainath Devalla,

I assumed that using my husbands name would not be a problem. I am Madhavi btw.

I am sorry because the profile name belonged to a male,Ok.At the outset how did U give blank signed papers to Ur brothers,as the matter belonged to properties? What made U remove UR name from UR father's properties? So they have duped U intentionally and UR mother was not aware of it.20 yrs is a very long time to proceed legally, unless the contents of the letters/documents are verified.

Thank you Sainath,

There is no money transaction happened in real and nothing is mentioned in the documents also. Can my children claim their right on their grand father's property? This property is not earned by my brothers or my father. This is ancesteral property.

Thanks again Sainath dada.

what made you to sit idle all these long years without taking any action on such fraudulent act. Well, you may consult a local lawyer who may design some plan to rattle the  issue so that you may get some benefits.
