dear learned experts,
as per the court and registration act stamp duty is payable fir succession certificate @6% on the value of movable property like for to claime bank deposits and where as goggle search showing as 3% on the value then which one has to take in to consideration ?

It is a 3% stamp duty to obtain a succession certificate.

The court fee and stamp duty is state subject, it may differ across the states of the country

Yes, stamp duty differs from State to State but in most of States it is 3% on value of property.

On Telangana state the stamp duty for succession certificate through court is 6% of the value of the property.
