Claim over property..

my father and his brother had puchased a land in gwalior and build a house  over it  during 1970's. after death of my uncle my father due to sympathy registered the property on name of his widow ie, my aunt during 1986.after that she left the place and continued living in bhopal and didnt bother about it. we four brothers  are living in it for last 40 years and had invested a lot on it during this period  and took care of it  in every respect  , but now after death of my father she is is asking to leave the place and trying to sell it , please sir guide me that can i claim over the property or get any compensation .and if so how  can i proceed?

Since, the property is registered in her name therefore, she is the actual owner of the property.

But you have an adverse position in the property since you have stayed in the same for more than 20 years and since you had spent moneis for the upkeep and maintanence of the property therefore you can claim ownership and can contest her claim.

you need to prove befor the court that your father ha jointly purchased the said property. then only you would have a chance to suceed in the case.
