sir,
I am central govt civilian employee working under min of defence.
I was granted compensatory off for working on sunday and holidays.
Now my question is that can I go to my home town using the compensatory leave or not?
many of my collegues are telling that compensatory leave can not used for going outstation. however these matter there is nothing mentioned in the swami's handbook.

Find out from the office and rules that for leaving the station/HQ prior intimation and approval is required or not?

generally office make their own rules and does not provide help or guidance in these matters,
if there is rule it is similar in all establishment and offices
