there are 3 mentod of amendment in constitution.

a) certain provision of the constitution can be amended by a simple majority in both the Houses of parliament e.g. matters regarding in creation of new states or reorganisation of states, abolition of council of states in the state legislative, qulaification of indian citizenship etc.

b)some other provisions of the constitution can ben amended by Parliament by a two -third majority and also requre the approval of the legislatrures of one half of the states.

c) the amendment of remaining provision of the Constitution requires to be passed by a majority of the total membership of each house and a majority of note less than two - third of the members present and voting in each house
