Constitutional status to lokpal-what is meaning, implication

There is talk on giving 'Constitutional Status' to Lokpal. This sounds greek and french to average society.

* What does it mean?

* What is the implication of giving this status?

* What will happen if that status is given/not given?

No practical difference so long as the YES MEN and the DARLINGS of the corrupt or the government are intalled into any kind of post, including Constitutional or statutary body. At present are the former bueracrats, former judges of High/ Supreme Court not made heads of various Commissions, Tribunals etc. Why and what is the real/ hidden criteria for their selection?

Constituttional status is a sweett word to listen but actually this is nothing but an effort by corrupt rulers to avoid and delay in framing a concrete law on Jan Lokpal.
