consumer court judgement

I had filed a consumer complaint and had won it and in their judgement order the Hon'ble Consumer Commission has concluded that the respondent had "certainly destroyed my reputation."

Please advise me if I can on the basis of the above observation of the Consumer Court file a defamation case U/s 500 of the IPC against the respondent in the Criminal Court.

Rajeev Sir, Thank you.

Can you also tell me:

1. the time limit to file a defamation suit.

2. Can I file the case with the Magistrate in the Criminal Court or will I have to file a FIR?
