Contempt of court order

A creditor has obtained an interim order from the High Court preventing a Limited company from operating their bank account .The  appeal against the order   was sent back to the single judge. The matter has not come up for several weeks and the response to the original suit has still not been heard . meanwhile the limited company   has made payments to vendors , staff salary , legal fees , utilities   including honoring Post Dated Cheques. This is contempt of court order. How could the Company and their officers be punished in such cases and what is the process for starting contempt proceedings. Does the company and officers have any recourse  to avoid penal and criminal action ? What is the maximum sentence in such cases  ?
