Contents of petition and statement before magistrate

Hi ,

want to know, what is the value of contents of a petition in DV , 498, divorce and other cases, when the magistrate takes a statement of the petitioner orally in front of him, though whatever is recorded in front of the magistate, whatever the petitioner says orally, if it differs from the contents of the written petition filed by the petitioner, does it have any effect on the case of the petitioner?

can the difference in the statement and petition be pointed out during arguement?

if there are any contradictions in the oral evidence and written petitioner, can the respondent point this out and take advantage of the contradictions?

if statement before magistrate is given more weightage in court, then why is the written petition given equal weightage?

thanks all

request members to kindly guide, as i find there are many contradictions in her oral evidence and her written petition under oath, so i wanted to know, if the petition has any value or only the oral evidence in front of the magistrate has all  the value. thanks
