After registration of marriage under SMA, if question of divorce etc arise, whether it will be under SMA or the previous Act under which the marriage was solemnized will govern the issue.

Such registration is provided by deeming fictions of law and confers upon the spouses no power to annul marriage on the grounds provided in SMA. The said povisions was creatd for the main purpose of legitimizing of children celebrated under other forms but registered under SMA..
