I Purchased a dell venue pro mobile using https://www.fashionandyou.com Online Shopping in january 2011, which had 6 months seller warranty. As i am working in kenya i asked one of my friend to get it from india to kenya. After using that mobile for a 4 months it could not be powered ON. So i could not send it back to india and i was waiting for my vacation. After 9 months i went back to india and visited dell service center to get it repaired. The shocking news was that this mobile could not get serviced in india and i need to send this mobile to USA spending 260$ to get it serviced. I also contacted fashion and you website support for this and they are just going round and round and wasting the time. they are not helping me.
My question is
1. How can a company sell customers mobile which cant be serviced in INDIA?
2. How can a customer spending 280$ for mobile will spend 260$ for getting it serviced?
3. From where do these online website people getting products and cheating customers?
4. We are struggling hard day and night to make money and these people are sucking our blood?
5. Does any law says that the product sold to any customer should be serviced only in INDIA?
6.Is there any law to support my statement? any law to sue these online shopping website?
I told dell people i can spend 3000INR to get it serviced. But they say that this mobile was not launched in india so they cannot help me. Rather i need to send this mobile to USA.
Is this a solution for the consumers in INDIA for such cases???
How can i be helped???
