Four lawyers detained for aiding women trafficking

Rajkot, May 31 (PTI) Four lawyers were detained here today for their alleged involvement in an inter-state trafficking racket.

The racket came to light when a girl, hailing from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, fled from her husband''s house just after marriage and narrated to her parents that she was sold to Haresh Soni, a man from Porbandar, at Rs 80,000, police said, adding the man has been arrested.

Meanwhile, the girl''s father lodged a missing complaint with Jabalpur police who discovered that she was last seen with a person named Dharmendra alias Mirchi who along with his women accomplices had ensnared the girl under the pretext of offering job in Gujarat and sold her, police said.

A joint team of Jabalpur police and Railway Protection Force today detained the four advocates -- Dhaval Mehta, D B Gangani, Shailesh Kamdar and Rajendra Kotak -- for aiding trafficking of minor girls by faking their age with false affidavits.

A hunt has been launched to trace four more suspects involved in the racket, police said.

Arup: the question is, whether the lawyers did it at all (innocent till proven guilty) and whether the alleged lawyers were real lawyers (or they used fake identities)

Uma is right!

Whether the lawyers are real lawyers or not? that is also point.

In Andhra Pradesh, one lady created her LL.B., certificate and she approached the bar council of A.P. and she enrolled as advocate, to take revenge on her boy friend [who allready married person and she know that fact]. There after the fact unfolded. Thereafter she died due to ill health, before taking action by bar council.

Advocates generally are abide by law.

When 4 lawyers committimg crime together then it must draw attention and will arise a question whether they are real lawyers or fraud?
