Partition suit

A partition suit is going on and the case has progressed to evidance taking. Before evidence I want to file part compromise petition but that is taking more time. The judge gave 12.10.2012 as the date for evidance taking and I have to finish compromise petition on or before that. It seems to me that it will take more time to deal with all to come to a compromise. Therefore I need more time. My lawyer says if evidence is not given on 12.10.2012 the judge may suspend the suit. If the case is suspended then is it possible to open it again after 3 or six months or I have to apply for a fresh suit. Can I ask the court to temporarily suspend my suit for 6 months. Please help.

If compromise has arrived between the parties why ur are waiting call all the parties and get rid of. If not possible to gather all the parties collect power of attorney and then file along with compromose petiton. at theextreme circumstances file application u/order 17 of CPC get adjounment.
