Petitioner-in-person

Respected sirs,

I am not an Advocate. I would like to present my own case for the redressal of my grievance regarding an Income tax office notice, in the JMFC, as the Petitioner-in-Person. I have prepared the required subject matter. I wanted to know whether I should represent myself as a Complainant or as an Appellant. And should I also have to give an application seeking permission to appear as Petitioner-in-Person? If so, what is the procedure to do so? And what is the format of such an application to seek permission to appear as Petitioner-in-Person? Which Act of CPC grants the right to a person, to represent his own case as the Petitioner-in-Person? I greatfully thank any help provided in this regard.

Thanks & Regards

As per order 3 Rule 1  CPC appearance may be in person ,by recognised agent or by pleader. You can appear as petitioner -in-person.

Thank you for your kind reply, sir.

Consequently, does it mean that a particular application seeking permission to appear as Petitioner-in-Person, is not necessary?

Thanks & Regards
