Maintainence claims by us citizen

Dear Experts,

Could you please let me know if an Minor or an Major Un-Married Female child having Citizenship of USA claim Maintenance from an father who is also an US Citizen. Mother is an Indian citizen under DV Act.

As both daughter and father are US citizen, and if case filed in US Court then American laws should apply Minor will be entitled for parental support Better to take professional advice

Clarification: Both the daughters and mother, father are in India. and the case is filed in India.
