how to apply for land for the college

sir I have plan for starting college so that I need for it. so how can I apply for government to provide me land for it at Maharashtra.

The first step is proposing such college in that area where there are no or less colleges, then identifying land suitable to you and then making application before Colelctor or municipality for giving it on nominal lease to you.
