Will unregistered (Bangalore)

Hello. My grandmother gifted me a property (Site) The will was unregistered will but notary done.) that time. And now I need to know as I heard somewhere that Will can be registered or notarized but it's considered as legal. I need to know the clear truth about this.

The will must be genuine and must be proved it is genuine in court if it is challenged by any one whether it is registered or notarised is not considered.

Thanks @ashif and @shashi. So what can I do to make it secure? I have taken a step of Going to bda to get rectification deed so it will be all document in my name. Whats your view regarding this?
