Dear Sir,
Section 506 of the Indian Penal Code is bailable.
The first part of the section states that whoever commits the offence of criminal intimidation shall be punished with imprisonment of either descripttion for a term which may extend to two years or with fine or with both. This offence is non-cognizable, bailable and triable by any Magistrate.
The latter part of the section states that:
if there is a threat to cause death or grievous hurt
or to cause destruction of property
or to cause an offence punishable with death or imprisonment for life or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years
or to impute unchastity to a woman,
then it is punished with imprisonment of a term which may extend to seven years or fine or with both.
The latter part of the section is non-cognizable, bailable and triable by Magistrate of the first class.
Hope this clears your doubt.
Regards,
Zeta
