Illegal Mobile Network tower

To erect any mobile tower valid permissions to be obtained from concerned Municipality/Revenue/Police departments along with NOC (In some cases) subject to GOs/ amendments.

You should complaint with proper evidences and if still the machinery pays deaf ears you can approach  any of the appropriate fora: NGT/ Competent local court/High court/NHRC/SHRC as the case may be for redressal.

There are different alternatives to file a complaint for removal of illegal mobile towers but before that you 1st need to enquire that the mobile tower erected in your vicinity is illegal.

● 1st -

• File a RTI application to your municipal corporation if you suspect these mobile towers are illegal seeking copies of valid documents for the sanction of the mobile towers.

• File a RTI application to the respective State Electricity Distribution Co. to get further proof of the fact that they are illegal and seeking a certified photocopy of the documents against which the power connections were granted to the mobile towers.

● 2nd - 

• Write a detailed letter to the municipal corporation and to the Law Officer of State Electricity Distribution Co. regarding disconnection of the power supply. 

OR ~

• You can file a complaint to Telecom Enforcement and Resource Monitoring (TERM) cell helpline and a web portal on which citizens can register complaints against cell towers in their areas. 

A tower can be erected only with such construction permission for the local authority.  The mobile towers as per GOI standards are found to be free from all health hazards and such fears are unfounded as per research.

"Harmful" is your perception only and there is no scientific proof to back it up.  Further, for erecting a Cell Tower the pre-condition is the obtention of permission from various authorities concerned including the Municipality.  Therefore, your contention that it is an illegal mobile tower shall be justified if such a tower is erected without any permission from the authorities concerned but not merely because you think that it is harmful.

There no scientific evidence that mobile towers are harmful Moreover, mobile phones have essential of everyday life. How could there be mobile phones in the absence of mobile towers.
