Correction deed

I purchased plot and made a registry deed. But in old registry the survey no. was wrongly mentioned as 211. But now in my registry it is corrected and mentioned correct survey no. 252. The stamp Duty is paid according to new survey number.  My problem is that 1) Whether i require to make a "CORRECTION DEED" again for change in survey no. from 211 to 252. 2) What is the "CORRECTION DEED" and how to make it.

Pl. suggest me.

You must have enclosed the details of the property in the earlier registration and if the survey no. was matching with what you had written in the agreement there is no need for correction as the number may have been corrected on a date after your earlier registration.

If the plans in your earlier registration referred to the correct survey no. then you may file a correction deed to correct the error in the earlier registration. Please provide reference to the earlier document and have all the parties appear for the registration. The stamp duty and registration charges are nominal assuming that you have paid the correct stamp duty and registration charges.

Hi,

I Got a plot in Chennai and made a registry deed with on survey no 509 and sub division 26

but when I went to VAO for Patta transfer he said My plot will comes under subdivision 31

then I checked with the adjacent plots, I found that plot no 5 plot next to me got the subdivision no 31

that means Plot boundaries and number is same but the subdivision has been registered in wrong direction for all 6 plots in that row

Now VAO is issue a patta for 509/26 which should be 509/31

Please suggest me the procedure to correct my documents, this was happened in all my parent documents

except the very first document

Please apply to the VAO and obtain the correct location map and the plot map with proper boundaries.

Then please make a correction deed and register it along with the original sellers. (This should not be a problem as you have bought the plot recently.

It is not a big issue and you have the possession of  the plot you have bought.

S Jadhav
