Court fee for partition suits

Dear Learned,

I happen to have a inheritance of family house that is approximately 5250 Sq Feet, The house is inherited with 5 siblings including me.

The property is in Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. The Guideline value of the property as per TN registration rules shall stand around Rs. 70 Lakh, calculated as Rs.1450 per Sq. Feet.

My share for the property is 1/5th i.e 1050 Sq.Ft.

Since my siblings are not inclined to split the property cordially, am planning to get the share through a Partition Suit.

Query:

1. What is the court fee / legal fee that is paid for filing such a suit?

2. How long such suits are awarded and How court arrives the decision to Split the property

in partition suit court fees would depend upon value of your share in property

2) if 2 brothers are filing suit for partition they would have to pay court fees upon market value of their share in property

3) separate court fee for each brother share would be payable

4) court fees is state subject and varies from state to state

5) your lawyer can guide you as to exact amount of court fees payable in your state
