No you have no right to get information of your wife.  If you have any doubt about your wife, you have to file a petition before the court, if the court thinks fit and necessary it will direct the police to investigate into the matter and submit the report.

T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Advocate)     17 March 2014

The 498a and dv cases filed by wife are to be challenged and only  after due hearings of both the sides the court will decide the cases on merits, so until there is no judgment by the court one cannot conclude on his own that it is a false case.  As far as the details of wife's property and other aspects, what is it that the court has got a concern over it, if you are affected due to her property and other riches, it is you who have to prove before the court that she is economically well off but despite being wealthy enough she enacts drama for the sake of harassment and torture with such false allegations and false claims. consult your lawyer and file a petition to that effect.  There are lot of provisions in law to appropriately challenge the false issues before the court, if you handle patience, you will find many solutions.

Dear Author,

Before deciding the maintenance amount, the court can direct both the parties to submit their affidavits of income and movable and immovable property. There is a judgement...however m not recollecting the same.
