The summon not acknowledged by you may not be considered to be a proper service, however to avoid the last minute mishap, in your own interest, arrange some person (preferably a lawyer) to watch the hearing secretly and come to know that if the court has accepted it to have been served on you and  have been set exparte.  If so, better enter appearance on the next date of hearing and file an application to set it aside.  In a divorce case there is no reason for charge sheet or surety.
