Cousin marriage

Hi i have been in relationship with my first cousin from last 2.5 years she is 23 and i am 30 years old. Both of us get s*xually involved from last 6 months and we want to marry with each other. I am aware that we can not marry with each other but is there any other way that we both can live with rach other for example. Option 1- By changing religion where it the marriage is acceptable. I am also not sure if after changing a religion which marriage law will be applicable to us and if both of us need to change our religion. Option 2- Or if we can be with each other in a live in relationship.

Also need additional information: can i be legally prosecuted for having s*xual relationship with my cousin if this was totally with concent of each other and she is above 22 years.

@Querist,

Is it an academic query? Please tell the truth only.

Thank you.

Legally you are in prohibited / spinda relation for marriage under the provisions of Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

I would not advise for change of religion.

You may continue with live-in relation, if you feel so strong.

No case is made out against you if  and till, she has consent to have physical relationship.

@Dr. J C Vashista-

You may peruse section 18 of HMA 1955.

Thank you.

What is the stand of your family members? Anyhow, it is not permissible to change the religion just for the purpose of getting married.
