Friends! Can anyone tell me what is the procedure for getting clearance from the customs for any product purchased from abroad?
When anyone purchases online a product from a seller based in a foreign country, they simply send the product to India but when it reaches to customs, as far as I know, they impose customs duty and service tax on it. But is it necessary to personally go to customs office for getting clearance and taking the parcel?
I want to know the detail current procedure, when an imported product reaches to customs.
