datta homam

can any one please tell what exactly is datta homam and is this procedure still followed in the case of adoption in our country..

Datta Homam means dattaka home which is very essential ceremonyfor first three varnas is for brhamana,Kshatriya,@andvyshya not necessary for shudras.when dattaka homa completes adoption will completes .
