Hi
I wouldm like to know if the indian law is different in Diu. Someone told me that in Diu the daughters does not have right on fathers property. Is it true? if yes..why this difference? Diu is not part of India?
Thank you

The law is uniform all over India , including Diu.
If the father's property is a self acquired property , then the daughter cannot seek partition in the said property. However, if the property is ancestral property, then the daughter has a right in it as a coparcenor.
