My mother is the only daughter for her parents and she has got four brothers. My grand father prepare a WILL at the time of live. My grand father wrote the mater in WILL after my death total my property belongs to my 4 sons only.  Now both my Grand parents are no more and now my Uncle say that my mother is not eligible for any share in the property as they have given every thing during my mothers marriage. I would be much obliged if you can give me a detailed reply.

Will defeats inheritance. All property was given in will. So ur mother dont have any share.

Dear Shivendra,

Just for my understanding is it compulsory to register a will or a notorised will also holds the same value.

It is not mandatory for registration of will. Only probate of will and the two witness are needed during the the execution of will.
