Daughters have a right to share properties equal with sons??

My grandfather(passed) who was given a piece of agricultural land by his father. Now my grandfather has three sons and three daughters. All of them are married except one daughter.Recently sons have decided to make equal shares of property and distribute among them. Now unmarried daughter also demands a equal share of land ??

1.Is there any law states that daughters must be given equal share of property??

2.both married and unmarried daughters have equal right..???

2.As property was not earned by my grandfather, it was given by great grandfather...heard property earned by grandfather belongs only to grandsons..???

Agriculture land is a state subject.

In UP married daughters are not given share as UP Land Reforms Act operates.

You may check in your state.

In telangana state...my grandfather deceased....and sons have signed a bond stating equal shares in all properties, and my grandmother have signed it.

1. With this document can we approach court of not giving share to unmarried daughter..??

Any private Bond can not create a parallel route to succesion.

You may show all documents on record to a local lawyer specializing in property/family/revenue/civil matters.

The unmarried daughter of your grandfather has a share equal to that of her brothers in the ancestral prperty.  The grandchildren  will get their share through thir respective fathers only and not by virtue of just being grandchildren that they will acquire the property without their fathers' shares.   Consult a local lawyer and discuss the issues at length.
