Daughters rites in huf proferty

Hi,

Please provie me a answer with suppotive law section (link).

My greadfather bought a property in 1954, he died on 26th March 1956, and my Grandmother died on 18th March 2001. they hav 3 sons and 3 daughters

Before 1972 property was re-registered on the name of my Grandmother and his 3 Sons as equal legal owner.

so now as per that her 3 daughters have only 1/6th rites in mothers share ( 1/4 of total property)

I like to know, can daughters claim equal rites in this property ????

Please porived me your valuable answer in detials with supportive legal section.

in the mother's share legal heirs get equal share.  Grand mother died in the year 2001 without making any arrangments about her share, so immediately her death succession opens, her sons and daughters get equal share.
