Death certificate

My parent whose permanent residence is with me in Gujarat, expired at Mumbai while with my hostile sibling. The death, I believe, has been duly registered there. I have no further information than the date of expiry. How can I get the death certificate of the deceased from the designated authority in Mumbai on my own? Who would be such a designated authority there? What information or evidence should I be armed with to apply for the death certificate? Please advise. Thank you.

It is usually:Registrar of Births and Deaths.

As a son/legal heir you can.

You obtain death certificates o9f your father and sibling from Registrar of BirthsandDeaths. Since  you are sole hier leftover by your parents and as their only son you can succednto their property.
