Delhi Shops & Establishments Act

Hello everyone! I am new here and would appreciate any imputs from you.

I have recently learned that new registrations under the Shops & Establishments Act is being held in abeyance in Delhi. We were planning to register our office under the Delhi SE Act, but now with this current situation we are unsure of what to do?

Do we still go ahead and submit the application for registration? Will it even be accepted? Secondly, I presume that even though new registration is not being done, we should still comply with all the provisions of the SE Act. So, do we submit the annual returns as required under the Act?

I will appreciate any inputs from your side. Thanks.

Yes. The requirement of registration has been kept in abeyance since 1989. But you have to adhere to the statutory compliances prescribed under the Act.
