Demand for loan repayment

Dear Members,

My sister-in-law had availed of a personal loan from HDFC bank. (about 45 to 50 K) she repaid part of the loan (amount not known) and expired prematurely at age 46, this was within 25 days after the passing away of her ailing Husband. The bank agents approached the orphaned daughters and asked them to repay the said loan. We requested the bank authorities to provide necessary loan documents for verification they have as yet not provided the same. We also requested the bank to waive the balance amount on humanitarian grounds as the orphaned girls were still students there was no response to any of our requests. Now the girls have started receiving calls from a policeman from the Delhi crime Branch asking them to repay the loan within fortyeight hours or they have threatened to seal off their residence and throw out the girls on the street. please advice.

Sir,

Police has nothing to do with it, better file a complaint against the bank officials for criminally intimidating the family and not approcahing through a proper channel.

Tell bank people to go the court and recover the money clearly saying that u don't have money to pay.
