Rules relating to language of invoice

Sir,

One Maharshtra based manufacturing  company  ( on border of Gujarat) has issued invoices from 1967 to 1980.

  1. Invoice is printed on letter head. Letterhead contents are in Marathi, but in particular caulamn of invoice, all contents are written in Gujarati.  Invoices have been issued in Maharashtra to local retailers.
  2. Invoice issuing company has produced those invoices in court of Gujarat in trademark case to prove the use of trademark.

Are such invoices valid as per invoicing rules in India/ maharashtra?

Thanking you inanticipation

When has the invoice been used is material question to be considered for calculating limitation.

Location and language of retailer is secondary quesiton.

Sir,

Thank you very much.

We have disputed authenticity of invoices.

The sale transaction was done in maharashtra by a firm in Maharashtra only in 1967.

But that firm issued the  innovice in Gujarati language.

Now that firm is claiming user since 1967 on the basis of such invoices.

Would it be valid to issue invoice in Gujarati language  by a firm in maharashtra to its customer in Maharashtra?
