Dilemma

Respected friends, I am a central govt servant working in a non-gazetted post. Recently I acquired a professional qualification which is in any way not related to the job I am in. In fact, my office does not have any post to accommodate such qualified persons, in fact it does not require.  Now my dilemma is can I practice or provide commercial consultancy based on my recently acquired professional qualification, beyond office hours/holidays etc?  The Central Civil Services rules are not clear on this front.  I request your kind advise/help in this matter.  Regards

you cannot engage in any other profession which there is an earning.  If you are doing it for charity, then ok so long as there is no conflict of interest with the govt job.
