Dear Sir!!!
Myself Sandeep is separated from my wife since 2years out of 2 1/2 years since marriage, she left on her own will.. now we have deciced to part on mutual consent..
Our marrige was not registered..
Is it mandatory to get the marriage registered for divorce proceedings by mutual consent ??
Kindly advise..

No need to register the marriage now if you are heading for divorce. File the other evidence of marriage you have and state on affidavit that the marriage was performed as per hindu rites and rituals but was not registered, that will be sufficient.

no need to register but you both may appear and get divorce even within few days.
