Divorce

Hi,

My wife and I had separated more than 2 years back. During divorce proceedings, my wife and I had agreed for divorce before the hon. judge and declared/signed that we have no claims on each other . We're awaiting orders on this for more than a year now. [Does it take so long to deliver a judgment in India?!!!]

1) Can she go back on her commitment and create trouble for me by stating that she wants to live with me?

2)  Now, if I purchase any property like land or a house [before the orders are passed], can she lay a claim on it?

Thanks in advance.

Santanu.

This is something strange. You can make an application to the higher court to make the lower court give the final order. I am assuming that you went through the first motion and the second motion.
