My grandmother who expired in the late 90s, willed her property in Hyderabad to my mother who is currently residing and working outside India . She now wants to bequeath the property to me through a Will and has given me the keys to the flat.
However, the property is still registered in my grandmothers name and I have been paying the property taxes .
The issue is that we are unable to locate the property papers or get any details of the original document to apply for registering the property in my mothers name and then subsequently transfer it through a gift deed to myself .
May I request some guidance on how to proceed on this matter please .
