My uncle held shares jointly with his daughtrer's name in particular company and on his death, his daughter applied for deletion of his name from the register of members of the company.. The company required her to produce translated version of death certificate duly attested by Notary ( The death Certificate previously issued to the company was in tamil language).. She also produced the same to the company... But the company again required that such translated version issued by the notary does not bear document serial number... When she asked the notary for that document serial number, he said that there are no such document serial number.... But the company is not accepting a document without serial number... So any one pls explain what is document serial number... This is an urgent query... so kindly reply.... Thanks in advance...
